The “International joint workshop on the Standard Model and beyond” (Oct.14-17, 2019) is the successor of the previous KEK-KIAS-NCTS joint workshops held at NCTS (2016), KIAS (2017) and KEK (2018). Staring from 2019, the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS) will join the workshop series as a new host institute. The main purpose of the workshop is to bring together theorists from different institutes to report their latest research findings on particle phenomenology and related cosmology. This workshop aims at providing unique opportunities for collaborations among members from different institutes. Through interactions during the workshop, we hope new ideas may come out for further explorations.
The workshop in this year is combined together with a research program for “New physics beyond the Standard Model ”(Oct.9-13, 2019) supported by the Peng Huanwu Innovation Research Center for Theoretical Physics (PICTP) which is affiliated to ITP-CAS. The purpose of the program is for intensive discussions and collaborations. During the whole program, seminar-style talks will be arranged in morning sessions, and afternoon sessions are left free for in-depth discussions and collaboration. The participants for the workshop are also encouraged to participate the program.
In summary, the whole activity during Oct. 9-17 at the Fragrant Hill hotel consists of two parts:
Week 1: Oct. 9-13, the PICTP research program
Week 2: Oct 14-17, the Joint Workshop
