Description

Lattice QCD provides a first-principles framework for studying the strong interactions and plays an important role in the precision determination of Standard Model parameters. This talk will review the determination of renormalized light and heavy quark masses, and discuss how lattice QCD calculations of hadronic decay matrix elements enable precise extractions of CKM matrix elements. Particular emphasis will be placed on recent results obtained with the CLQCD clover ensembles, illustrating their contributions to precision flavor physics and tests of the Standard Model.
