Description

Under the guidance of the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP/CAS), in collaboration with the Japan - China Science and Technology Exchange Association (JCSTEA) and the Japan - China Friendship Association of Tokyo, will jointly organize the " Excellent Young Leader Program in Theoretical Physics and Related Interdisciplinary Fields". This program will invite young talents from top universities and research institutions in Japan and other countries to visit the Chinese Academy of Sciences, facilitating international academic exchanges and cooperation in theoretical physics and related interdisciplinary fields. Through visits and lectures, it will introduce the Chinese Academy of Sciences and its affiliated institutes to these young talents. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for young researchers from both China and abroad to present their research achievements and talents, and also to develop their international cooperation.

Requirements of the participants

The young talents participating in the program should be outstanding graduate students or postdoctoral fellows from top universities and scientific research institutions in Japan and other countries. In principle, they should be no older than 32 years old, and priority will be given to talents who have not participated in such programs during the selection. They can be Japanese or from other countries, but should not be Chinese young physicists studying abroad. The total number of young talents should be 20.

Registration

We encourage all young talents involved in these research areas to apply through the link:   https://indico.itp.ac.cn/event/304/registrations/87/

The deadline for registration is July 10, 2025 (Thurday).

All applicants will be evaluated by the selection committee consisting of leading experts, and the accepted participants will receive official invitation letters from the ITP-CAS via registered email addresses in August, 2025.
