XEFT is a low-energy effective field theory for charm mesons and pions that provides a systematically improvable description of the X(3872) resonance. A Galilean-invariant formalism that exploits the approximate conservation of mass in the transitions D*↔Dπ was later developed. In this talk, I will introduce the Galilean-invariant XEFT and talk about our recent improvements on that by showing the calculations of the D*0D0 scattering amplitude to next-to-leading order.
