摘要:
Study of QCD exotics beyond simple quark model provide critical information on the quantitative
understanding of strong interaction and confinement in the low energy regime. The dynamical 
mechanism of confinement is one of the key issues in the research of fundamental structure of 
matter. BESIII collected the world’s largest data sets of e^+ e^- annihilation in τ-charm energy
region, which allow to shed light on this challenging issue. Evidence for the observation of 
states with explicitly exotic quantum numbers forbidden by qqbar configuration, for instance the
exotic J^PC  = 1^(-+)   states π_1 (1400),π_1 (1600) and π_1 (2015), has been reported by several
experiments. However, even after many years definitive conclusions have still to be reached.  
Searching for the isoscalar 1^(-+) is very critical. The BESIII collaboration reported the 
observation of an isoscalarresonance with exotic J^PC=1^(-+) quantum numbers. This research is 
published in Physical Review Letters [Phys. Rev. Lett. 129, 192002 (2022)], accompanied by a 
detailed companion paper in Physical Review D [Phys. Rev. D 106, 072012 (2022)]. This is an 
observation of a new category of hadronic matter, which is an important step forward in low 
energy QCD.

刘北江,中国科学院高能物理研究所研究员。
2008年于中国科学院高能物理研究所获得博士学位。
历任BESIII国际合作组轻强子物理组长、物理分析负责人,现任报告委员会主席。入选中科院青年创新促进会,获基金委优秀青年基金。
主要从事奇特强子态实验研究。
