Description

Title: Phase Transitions in an Expanding Universe: Stochastic Gravitational Waves in Standard and Non-Standard Histories

Speaker: 郭怀珂(The University of Oklahoma)

Abstract: Primordial gravitational waves from a cosmological first order phase transition has become a new window to probe physics beyond the standard model and can complement direct searches at the energy and intensity frontiers. I will briefly review recent developments of the theoretical modelling and numerical simulations of the gravitational wave production during a cosmological first order phase transition . I will then discuss in detail the dynamics of the phase transition and the modelling of the dominant acoustic production of gravitational waves in an expanding universe, based on our work https://inspirehep.net/literature/1807734.
