DESCRIPTION:Speakers: 喆伟 殷 (IHEP)\nThe scattering of microscopic par
ticles generically gives rise to highly structured quantum final states. A
growing body of work has begun to explore whether the quantum-information
characteristics of these states are merely emergent\, or whether they enc
ode deep principles of the underlying quantum field theory. Among these ch
aracteristics is magic\, or non-stabilizerness\, which measures the intrin
sic nonclassical computational power of a quantum state. We present eviden
ce that a fundamental parameter of the Standard Model—the weak mixing an
gle—may be selected by minimizing the magic of the final states arising
from simple lepton scattering processes. These observations motivate a sys
tematic exploration of particle scattering from the perspective of quantum
  information theory.\n\nhttps://indico.itp.ac.cn/event/427/contributions/3
