 ao Tong University)\nMagnetic white dwarfs may reveal axions through a sim
 ple astrophysical scenario: photons leaving the stellar surface can conver
 t into axions while traversing the star's intense magnetic field. As the s
 tar rotates\, the changing magnetic geometry can imprint a periodic\, ener
 gy-dependent modulation on the observed light. Precision photometry can th
 erefore turn rotating magnetic stars into laboratories for fundamental phy
 sics.\n\nUsing the magnetic white dwarfs PG 1015+014 and RE J0317-853 as c
 ase studies\, we show how this scenario can be tested with TESS light curv
 es and achieve competitive sensitivity to sub-µeV axions. Intrinsic stell
 ar variability can mimic parts of the signal\, making a realistic understa
 nding of the stellar light curves essential. More broadly\, observations o
 f multiple magnetic white dwarfs could identify axion-induced modulation t
 hrough its correlations with magnetic-field geometry\, wavelength\, and ro
 tation phase\, opening a new time-domain window on weakly coupled particle
