Abstract: Following Polchinski and Strassler arXiv:hep-th/0109174 and our recent work arXiv:hep-th/2412.17784, I will discuss our ongoing study of high-energy pion scattering in a holographic hard-wall model of QCD. I will begin with a brief overview of the Polchinski--Strassler proposal before applying it to the holographic hard-wall model. The main focus is on comparing our predictions for the angular dependence of $\pi^{+} \pi^{-} \to \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ scattering with experimental data. Having previously shown that our approach reproduces the constituent counting rule in QCD, we now find qualitative agreement with data in the high-energy fixed-angle regime. Time permitting, I will also comment on possible extensions to other processes and models, and attempts to ``prove'' the Polchinski--Strassler proposal.
