2020 International Workshop on “Soft Matter and Biophysics Theories”

The Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS) and Peng Huanwu Innovation Research Center for Theoretical Physics will host the annual International Workshop on “Soft Matter and Biophysics Theories”. The workshop brings together leading theoretical and computational researchers around the world, as well as a few experimentalists, to discuss latest advances in soft matter and biophysics. The aim of the workshop is to promote interactions and collaborations among scientists working on related areas.
The workshop has a focus session on polymer physics. Other covered topics include amorphous solids, super-cooled liquids, glasses, granular matter, active matter and plasmas. The talks are scheduled about twice a week. Due to the issue of COVID-19, some of the presentations will be given virtually, and the others will be held at ITP-CAS. Students are particularly encouraged to attend.
