Near-threshold J/psi photoproduction is under intensive investigations nowadays to probe important aspects of strong interaction, including gluon GPD, the nucleon gravitational form factor, the hidden-charm pentaquark states and so on.
This workshop will bring together theorists and experimentalists working on the J/psi photo-production from both the hadron spectroscopy and nucleon structure pespectives. We hope that the relevant physics can be clarified and sharpened through intensive discussions during this topical workshop.
The workshop will be held from Feb.19 (arrival) to Feb.23 (departure), 2024 at the Southern Center for Nuclear-science Theory (SCNT), Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The center is located in Huizhou city, Guangdong province. Its current interest covers most physics topics related to the High-Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) and the planned Electro-Ion Collider in China (EicC). Specifically, these areas include nuclear physics, hadron physics, nucleon structure physics at EicC, and high-density nuclear matter physics at HIAF.
